The Eliza Purton Home is where it all started for Island Care in 1964. It was built on land generously donated by William Purton and the residence is named after his mother Eliza.

A daily care fee is used to contribute towards your day-to-day living costs such as meals, cleaning, laundry, heating and cooling. It is part of the overall fees you pay towards your care.
The daily care fee increases on 20 March and 20 September each year in line with changes to the Age Pension.
A contribution to care fee is paid to the federal government where a person is in a financial position to do so.
The cost (if any) of a person’s Contribution to Care Fee is dependent on their financial situation and is determined by the government.
Please note the government have a lifetime cap on this fee.
